Finance Assistant

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Manager, you will gain valuable experience and progressively develop your skills and knowledge across the finance function.

  • Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
  • Assist with Sales invoicing for each division
  • Assist with credit control by following up on outstanding customer payments for each division
  • Assist with transaction reconciliation and accurate financial accounting using accounting software
  • Support the finance team with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
  • Process finance-related queries with suppliers, customers and internal departments.
  • Maintain financial accounts and reports as per company procedure
  • Assist Finance Manager with general administrative tasks
Experience/Skills Required:
Candidates will ideally have at least 1 years’ experience as an accounts/finance assistant or similar such as bookkeeping, and some experience using accounting software and systems. Although this is not essential, since full training will be provided to a strong candidate who can demonstrate a desire to build a career in Finance.

 

To be considered you will require as a minimum:

  • A consistently strong academic performance in Math’s or Economics.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong MS applications experience with Advanced levels of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Working knowledge of an Accounting Package would be advantageous
KEY SKILLS

You will need to have a pro-active approach to working, with quick thinking, strong organisation and time management to manage the conflicting priorities, with the support and input of the Finance Manager.

You need to have the ability to work independently, using your own initiative and problem solving, as well as within the team.

Contract Supervisor – Si-Serve

Si-SERVE

Si-Serve, part of the Dickerman Group, is a leading provider of industry services specific to water utilities primarily undertaking media refurbishment works, and also operating within the petrochemical sector. With a strong commitment to excellence and safety, we are currently seeking an experienced Contract Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves both site and office-based responsibilities, ensuring the smooth execution of contracts and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Our head office is based in Kettering, but contracts can be anywhere in the UK meaning you will be required to work away from home during contracts and when not on contract, willing to be in the office working closely with the Si-Serve Team. Ideally, the candidate will be local to the Kettering Head Office and able to commute themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of contracts on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Day-to-day management of site staff and contractors, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure their needs are met and any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts and site activities.
  • Provide support and guidance to site staff and contractors as needed and to provide technical knowledge and methods of work.

Skills and Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in managing contracts on-site, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and team members.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for project management and documentation.
    • Full UK driving licence

Experienced qualified personnel with offshore/onshore scaffolding experience. Personnel should have a good history of managing a number of personnel onsite with a variety of different nationalities.

Offshore documentation to be supplied on application also a Criminal background check should be submitted at the time of application.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Executive with a strong background in the Marine/Offshore industry to join our global team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving international marine business growth across our core service lines, including fabric maintenance, tank cleaning services, engineered wraps, etc.

This role is suited to an established individual capable of identifying and securing high-value contracts while maintaining long-term strategic client relationships. Operating on a worldwide basis, the Sales Executive will leverage their negotiation expertise, and market insight to deliver sustainable revenue growth in a highly competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the marine offshore sector globally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including operators, ship owners and asset managers.
  • Promote and position specialised services including blasting & coating, tank cleaning and life extension works.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and commercial proposals tailored to client requirements and project specifications.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring commercially favourable terms while aligning with company strategy and risk management protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal operational and technical teams to develop customised, value-driven solutions for complex client needs.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline tracking, forecasting, and client records using CRM systems and reporting tools.
  • Travel internationally as required to support client engagement, site visits, and project development.
  • Monitor global market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Drive revenue growth by expanding account portfolios, developing strategic partnerships, and securing repeat business.

Qualification / Experience Required:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales within the  Marine services/ offshore sector.
  • Demonstrable experience selling industrial services to the marine/offshore industry.
  • Strong network and understanding of the marine/offshore industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen, with a history of successfully closing high-value contracts.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexible and willing to travel internationally as required.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities across regions.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a global team.

Experienced personnel with Marine/Offshore/Onshore grit blasting/water blasting and airless spray coating application skills. Personnel should have a good history of managing a number of personnel onsite with a variety of different nationalities.

This role will involve managing overseas nationals and will require full contract management to the highest level. Reporting back to head office with contract progression, QA/QC feedback, and toolbox talk documentation, etc on a regular basis.
